A great live show is about more than what happens on stage. Behind The Rumjacks’ energetic performances is a touring crew working hard to make sure the band sounds great in every venue and every city.
One of those key people is Gabriele Ferreri, the band’s touring sound engineer. Based in Milan, Italy, Gabriele has been working with The Rumjacks since 2022, travelling with the band and working on hundreds of shows across Europe and internationally.
As the band’s sound engineer, Gabriele is responsible for mixing The Rumjacks’ live performances, working closely with the musicians and local production teams at each venue. From soundcheck through to the final song of the night, he helps make sure the band’s distinctive sound translates from the stage to the audience.
Touring internationally means dealing with a different venue, PA system and production setup almost every night, making an experienced and familiar sound engineer an important part of any band’s touring operation.
After hundreds of shows together, Gabriele has become a familiar face within The Rumjacks’ touring team and an important part of the crew behind their live performances.
With plenty more touring ahead, you’ll usually find Gabriele where he likes to be, behind the desk, making The Rumjacks sound as loud, tight and good as possible.
